DON CARLOS

Don Carlos, allá por el año de 1973, fundó Black Uhuru junto a Garth Dennis y Duckie Simpson. Al cabo de dos años la banda sufre su primer cambio de integrantes y Dennis se integra al grupo The Wailing Souls, mientras que Don sigue con su carrera solista, la cual ya contaba con varios discos editados: Deeply Concernid y Just a Passing Glance, que vieron la luz en 1972.

Luego de varios años de buscar una backing band adecuada, en 1982 Don vuelve a las bateas de las disquerías con su Harvest Time, glorioso disco que lo llevo a conocer la fama. Desde esa fecha hasta estos días, Don Carlos siguió creando y difundiendo la palabra de Jah. Sus producciones transitan las rutas del roots reggae, el lovers rock y el dub. De este último ritmo posee un logrado long play reeditado en 2007 llamado Tribulation in Dub.
Su dulce voz, con el estilo propio de Waterhouse (su lugar de nacimiento), logra armoniosas líricas que, combinadas a una potente energía, hace que cada canción sea inolvidable.
